Previously, Egyptologist and mystical philosopher Charles Muses's copies, with his pen notes and marks, underlining, etc throughout. The rear panel of the 'Tarif' is completely covered in notes in Muses hand - lists of books desired and purchase prices. There is a copy of a letter from Muses on House of Horus letterhead laid in as well, addressed to Imprimerie Nationale, Paris, refering to a different large book order, along with a receipt of a payment to them for 2,427 Francs. ¶An interesting look into Muses method of book collecting, here buying a substantial amount of Egyptology. Muses had a massive collection of Egyptology, we purchased his foreign language Egyptology books en bloc in 2007.
