Octavo, original red cloth lettered in silver on spine panel. 344 pp. is inscribed by the author in ink on the title leaf "To Miss Gill / W.O. Mitchell". Small faded spot to cloth at base of spine panel, small tear to inner front hinge, a very good clean copy in the original dust jacket, somewhat worn at the edges and with some old internal tape repair with some show-through to the back panel of the jacket. Price corner on the front flap is clipped. Overall, an attractive copy in the jacket. This book is rarely offered in the first edition; inscribed copies are rare. Item #314361
