WWII Handbill designed to be dropped from Allied airplanes over Italy as propaganda to gain support of the Italian People for the Allied cause, blaming Mussolini, the Fascists and their alliance with Nazi Germany for the conflict. Originally a speech given by Churchill for a radio broadcast from London on December 23, 1940. Churchill tries to assure the Italian people of the historic friendship between the two nations and sought to persuade the Italian public that their leaders had betrayed their interests and traditions. Newsprint, one leaf folded to make 4 pages. Light browning and small creases, a lovely copy. Rare. Item #314209
