Octavo, original grey pictorial cloth blocked in green, red, black & gilt, patterned floral endpapers. 377 pp + [1] leaf adverts + [4] pp publisher's catalogue, undated, at rear. Frontispiece and three additional full page black & white plates throughout the text, all by Overend. Decorative head- and tail-pieces, plus initial letters, throughout. Contemporary ink name to front free endpaper, scattered light foxing, mild knocking to corner tips, light rubbing to the binding. Heraldic device with mitre and shield embossed in gilt on rear panel. A very good, bright copy of a very attractive book. Item #313667
