THE MARK OF ANDREAS GERMER. Special Reserve Issue of the Lettered Edition.
No Place [Minnesota City, MN]: A Special Christmas Ghost Story Edition / The Last Press, 2022. First Edition (& 1st printing). Oblong format, 7 ¼ x 6 ¼ inches,, original wrappers with printed paper label, sewn. 12 pp., printed in two colours in Bembo type, with an original engraved frontispiece by Ladislav Hanka. Hand-printed and hand sewn. Issued as Quire XIII, MMXXII. 126 copies printed of which 100 copies were the unnumbered 'regular' edition and 26 copies comprised the Special Lettered Edition. This is one of 10 extra copies issued as the "Special Reserve" issue, not numbered or lettered (out-of-series). These are similar but not identical to the Lettered Edition in that the small title label on the front panel here is now a larger Series Title printed in black and red "QUIRE: a literary tract from the last press / xiii/mmxxii". Ten copies of these Special Reserve copies were issued after the Lettered issue went out-of-print. As with the Lettered Edition this copy has UICB endpapers and PC4 flax wrappers. A fine copy.
