Small quarto, original red cloth decorated and lettered in black, gold titles on spine and front panel, colour pictorial paper label on front panel. 320 pp, colour frontispiece plus three additional full-page colour plates inserted within the text, pictorial title page and hundreds of black & white drawings throughout the text. Cover and spine title: Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes "Complete". The colour illustrations are bright, beautiful lithographic prints.There are several different editions of this book, earlier editions have Victorian-style chromolithographic plates, this edition has more modern (1920's modern) bright colour litho plates in a completely different style. Some minor soiling to first leaf, cloth worn at edges, a few small old black ink marks to covers; a very good copy of a very pretty book. Item #313304
