¶ Christine Hartley, better known as Christine Campbell Thomson (1897–1985), was a British horror fiction author best known for the Not at Night series. She also wrote under the name Flavia Richardson. She was a pupil of Dion Fortune, and a member of the Fraternity of Inner Light. The book was reissued by Thoth Publications in 2004 with a new Introduction by Alan Richardson, showing the great influence of Dion Fortune on Hartley's writings. "Working at a time when many were turning to Eastern spirituality, Christine Hartley believed that Britain had its own mystery tradition, hidden in myth and legend and in the land itself." Chapters Include: The Origin of Our Heritage -- The Ancient Gods -- Arthur -- Merlin and Morgan and Bride -- The Holy Places -- The Horse and the Dragon -- The Druids -- The Ark and the Wren -- St. John the Kelt -- The History of our Race -- And now...? -- How to Enjoy Your Heritage.
