¶ Science Fiction; time-travel to the year 2000. A completely wild and elaborate novel - giant trusts control the oxygen supply and unless one pays for registration, your air supply will be cut off. Metal robots called Muglugs do most of the labour. There is a club of 19th Century ex-patriots who reside in the future, having gotten there by ingesting drugs or powders to remain in suspended animation until they reached the desire time. Advanced aircraft, electric guns, weather control, etc, etc. One of the best SF satires. Facsimile reprint of the text from the cheap paperback edition published by Street & Smith in 1924; originally published in ARGOSY Magazine in 1903-04. Issued as a volume in the publisher's "Classics of Science Fiction" series. Note: Hyperion paperbacks are quality books, properly printed and bound, not cheap modern print-on-demand editions.
