Octavo, original pictorial wrappers. [146] pp. The first appearance in print of WHAT MAD UNIVERSE, later re-worked and published as the novel of the same name (1949). Tears to covers - one scrape, and a 2 cm x .75 cm chip to the fore-edge of the front cover. Paper off-white. Very good copy.

Comments

WHAT MAD UNIVERSE is a parody of the pulp SF story. The novel functions both as a critique of its genre and a superior example of it. It may have provided a model for Philip K. Dick when he later created his own stories set in alternate personal realities.

Oversized and sets are shipped at cost by whatever method you choose at the time of your order. Excessive shipping amounts will be quoted prior to processing an order.
For International orders, we will always use the least expensive form of Air Mail shipping, and we will notify the customer of any shipping costs which are excessive.

For time-sensitive orders or particularly valuable items, we can always ship Express at cost.
