Holograph Note. Two handwritten sides in pen, measuring 4.5 x 5.5 inches. Rough lower edge, edge wear, creases, and ink smudges. Dunsany quotes Michael Angelo on art, by way of making an argument against "modern verse". "Give up reading this modern verse. Or one day you will understand it. & then you wont be able to understand twice 2 is 4. For you can't understand BOTH." Accompanied by an 8 x 10 inch original black & white photograph of a portrait painting of Dunsany by Serge Ivanoff in "San Francisco 1953." The photograph is of a painting painted in the Paget-Fredericks house by Serge Ivanoff, presumably on the same date as the talk given by Dunsany - On the evening of May 14, 1953, a few friends were invited to meet Lord Dunsany at the Berkeley home of Joseph Rous Paget-Fredericks. This leaf was Dunsany's handwritten notes for his talk at that meeting.
