First Edition. Quarto, original white printed wrappers, with papercutouts (as issued). Numerous illustrations, both colour & black & white, of Kiyooka's visual art. Split at spine head, small creases, one stain on front cover. Very good. Laid in is a Tyed Letter Signed by Roy Kiyooka, dated July 4th 1976 "Yankee Doodle Dandee Hanky Panky Yr" , 1 page, approx 100 words. The letter refers to 'The General idea' Celebrations and travelling via riverboat and barges from Fort Mcurray to the NWT and states "The 25 yrs catalogue shld provide u with promotional material". Signed in full by Kiyooka, with a note in another hand underneath which states "Painter, Poet, Photographer". Folded, VG. Autograph material by Kiyooka is very scarce.


"An exhibition organized and circulated by the Vancouver Art Gallery". Includes 12-pp interview with Chris Varley and 4-pp appreciation of Kiyooka's poetry by George Bowering. Roy Kenzie Kiyooka, OC (1926 - 1994) was a Canadian arts teacher, painter, poet, photographer, and multi-media artist of national and international acclaim.

Overseas: International Air Mail Post is $35.00 for one book, $18.00 each additional book.

Oversized and sets are shipped at cost by whatever method you choose at the time of your order. Excessive shipping amounts will be quoted prior to processing an order.
For International orders, we will always use the least expensive form of Air Mail shipping, and we will notify the customer of any shipping costs which are excessive.

For time-sensitive orders or particularly valuable items, we can always ship Express at cost.
