Frank Robinson's fabulous book on modern SF, fabulously illustrated. Frank, born in 1926, had what was at the time the world's greatest collection of Pulp Magazines. He was the author of numerous works of fiction - thrillers, techno-thrillers, and Science Fiction. I met Frank in the early 1980's, and we shared a common love for old pulp magazines. I bought his complete Arkham House collection in the late 1980's, one of my first major purchases after I opened my first bookshop. He was an old friend of mine. He died last June, and he is dearly missed.
