An attractive copy.

A biographical novel of the final years of Giordano Bruno [1548-1600], burned at the stake for heresy by the Roman inquisition. Cosmologist, Astrologer, Neoplatonist and Hermeticist, Bruno formed scientific world views - such as the sun being a star, and the universe being comprised of millions of stars, each of which could support a planetary system and possibly extraterrestrial life - which were at direct odds with the teachings of the Catholic church. He is a major figure in the evolution of modern scientific thought. An excellent book, including a chapter set in a 16th Century Italian bookshop.
