Description

First edition, Second Issue. Sheets of the 1902 Philip Welby edition, with a cancelled title page bearing the Rider imprint and the date of 1909. Octavo, original decorated blue cloth stamped in black, gilt titles on spine. 320 pp. Spine panel a bit faded, minor rubbing & light wear at edges of the cloth, private library label on front paste-down; a very good, sound copy.

Comments

A linked series of satirical fables in which an immortal Etruscan magus encounters various historical and literary figures down the ages. Contains the Werewolf tale 'Flaxius and the Were-wolf'. Originally issued in 1902 by Philip Welby, William Rider took over Welby's stock in 1908.

Oversized and sets are shipped at cost by whatever method you choose at the time of your order. Excessive shipping amounts will be quoted prior to processing an order.
For International orders, we will always use the least expensive form of Air Mail shipping, and we will notify the customer of any shipping costs which are excessive.

For time-sensitive orders or particularly valuable items, we can always ship Express at cost.
