First American edition. 340 pp + 26pp of publishers ads at rear, dated Fall, 1902. Green pictorial cloth designed in brown, white, black and gold and titled in gold on spine and front panel. Coated green endpaper, all edges tinted green. Frontispiece with tissue guard and seven additional plates, plus a map. Pencil name, minor neat repair to inner front hinge, small bumps; a clean, very good copy. The British edition, although dated 1903, was issued earlier than the American edition. Oversized and sets are shipped at cost by whatever method you choose at the time of your order. Excessive shipping amounts will be quoted prior to processing an order.
For International orders, we will always use the least expensive form of Air Mail shipping, and we will notify the customer of any shipping costs which are excessive.
