¶ Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas (Originally published in Paris 1869-1870 under the title 'Vingt Mille Lieues Sous les Mers') is a classic science fiction adventure novel. Widely acclaimed on its release, it remains so; it is regarded as one of the premier adventure novels and one of Verne's greatest works. Its depiction of Captain Nemo's underwater ship, the Nautilus, is regarded as ahead of its time, since it accurately describes many features of today's submarines, which in the 1860s were comparatively primitive vessels. With the only copy of the 1st UK printing on the market being priced at $25,000 US, one might consider this as a slightly more affordable option.

Price (USD): $275.00
