Former owner Frederick Bernard Pemberton (1865 - 1947), co-founder (with his father, Joseph Pemberton) of Pemberton & Son, Real Estate and Loans, 45 Fort Street, Victoria, BC.; this became the real estate company Pemberton Holmes, still in business today.
