Vancouver, BC: Raincoast Books, 1998-2000. Early Printings. Hardcover. A beautiful boxed set of early printings of the first three Harry Potter Books. Book One: First edition, fifth impression. Canadian issue, with the Raincoast imprint & "Printed and Bound in Canada by Friesens" on copyright page. 223 pp. Contains two errors which only occur in very early printings of this book: Line 1, page 8 has "highchair" instead of "high chair"; and on page 53 in the list of "Other Equipment" needed for Hogwart's School, "1 wand" is listed twice. Supposedly this last error only occurred in the very first printing of the book - it was corrected for the 2nd impression - but the first edition plates were still used for all early impressions of the Canadian issue. This issue has the older version of Dumbledore on the rear dust jacket panel. "Joanne Rowling" instead of "J.K. Rowling" on copyright page. Book Two: First Canadian Edition, Sixth Impression. Book Three: First Canadian Edition, Fifth mpression. All three volumes are fine in fine dust jackets; the box as well is in fine condition. Fine copies in Slipcase. Item #312508
