¶ Dion Fortune (1891-1946) one of the twentieth century's most famous occultists: a former member of the Golden Dawn who founded her own order, The Society of the Inner Light. PSYCHIC SELF-DEFENSE is her excellent study on psychic vampirism and psychic attacks. "Within these pages are to be found amazing revelations concerning Black Lodges, the methods employed in making a psychic attack, motives for the psychic attack, and the physical aspects of psychic attack and defense. In addition, the author deals with Vampirism and where to look for vampire marks, the pathology of non-human contacts, projection of the etheric body, and substances employed in Black Magic. This book has been described as "much more exciting than any of the 'Dracula' school", yet its content is more factual than sensational.
