¶ 'The Dreams in the Witch House' was first published in the pulp magazine WEIRD TALES in 1933. Part haunted-house tale, part psychedelic fever dream, the story is driven by a vivid cast of characters: The inter-dimensional witch, Keziah Mason; her terrifying rat familiar, Brown Jenkin; and the sinister Elder deity called Narylathotep. This unsettling trio haunt the dreams of hapless Walter Gilman, the Miskatonic University student who falls under the spell of the ancient Witch House.
