THE CLUB OF SKULLS.
London: The Modern Publishing Company, 6 Farrington Avenue, No Date (mid-1930's). First Edition. Hardcover. Small octavo, original dark blue paper covered boards, spine panel lettered in black. Unpaginated (circa 250 pp). Issued without proper endpapers, the paste-down leaves are advertisements, as is the first leaf and the verso of the title page. Tanning to text block, ink name and date (1938) on a preliminary leaf, a very good copy in the original colour pictorial dust jacket depicting a hooded figure with a Queen of Clubs playing card on his chest and a giant skull... "An Amazing Detective Thriller!" The jacket has small chips and tears at the extremities and a 1- inch by 1/2 - inch chip at the base of the spine panel but is essentially intact and completely unrestored. A great looking book. Very Good in Dust Jacket. Item #312190
