¶ An erudite study of lycanthropy. This is the second issue binding; there is an earlier issue which has superior gilt on the spine which does not tend to oxidise as it has here; it also has a gilt border on the front cover while here the border is blind-stamped. More to the point, the earlier issue has two different publisher's catalogues bound in at the rear: the first, 8 pages dated Autumn, 1912; the second, 30 pages dated July, 1912, while the catalogue in this issue is dated Spring, 1915. The original dust jacket, present here, appears to be identical to the 1912 issue, with an advert for Ditchfield's THE OLD ENGLISH SQUIRE (Methuen, 1912) on the front flap.
