Toulon: F. Cabasson, 1930. First Edition, First Impression. Octavo, original printed wrappers, original glassine dust jacket. 116 pp., illustrated throughout. inscribed in pencil on the title leaf :“With my best regards [illegible signature]”. One can assume that this is signed by either the author or the publisher, but the signature cannot be confirmed. From the library of Dr. Charles Muses, author of occult and esoteric works & founder of the Jacob Boehme society, with a note in pencil in his hand on title leaf: “N.B. This is the end one of the 3 vols. forming the ‘Trilogie de la Rota’ the first being Essais d’Astrologie Cabalistique’”. There are a few small pencil marks by him to the text. Chapitre VI, "Les Vingt-Deux", has the correlations of the 22 hebrew letters to the tarot cards written in by hand in pen (not in Muses' hand).Text in French. Top 1-inch of glassine chipped at spine head, minor chipping to glassine at base of spine, a fine copy in the glassine. A rare book; the trilogy of works (comprising "Essai d'astrologie cabbalistique", "Rota ou La roue céleste" et "Manuel de la Cabbale pratique.") has been re-issued but the first editions are terribly rare, with no copies held by institutional libraries worldwide (according to Worldcat) and no auction records of sales. Not listed in Dorbon, Bibliotheca Esoterica (1939), although Enel's 'Essai d'astrologie cabbalistique' is (item 1498).
