SLEEP HAS HIS HOUSE.

SLEEP HAS HIS HOUSE.

London: Cassell & Company, [1948]. First Edition, First Impression. Octavo, original red cloth titled in black on spine panel. 190 pp. Covers a bit stained; small split at inner front hinge; a very good sound copy. The front panelof the dust jacket with the stunning artwork by Michael Aryton has been sectioned and tipped-in to the recto of the half-title leaf to serve as a frontispiece; this was done long ago with older acidic glue; the glue has dried out and the image is now loose in the book, and there are old glue stains on the verso.
