One sheet folded to make 4 leaves, printed cover and interior page. One of only 30 numbered copies, this being copy No. 27. Two short poems, written by Dylan Thomas for and about John Gawsworth, at a time when Gawsworth was holding court in his role of King Juan of Redonda in a Soho restaurant. Thomas was one of many celebrated authors and artists involved in this literary kingdom founded by M.P. Shiel (As King Felipe 1 of Redonda). After Thomas' death the poems were printed by Gawsworth in this small private edition as a memorial for distribution to members of the court and not offered for sale. This first (and only) printing of these verses is rare. Faint stain to rear wrapper else a fine copy. Item #311508
