Vancouver, BC: Alfred J Parker, No Date [1940's]. First Edition. Quarto [29 x 22 cm]; original brown printed wrappers, stapled at spine. Reproduction of typescript. Present are 8 issues, Lessons 1-5 and 7-9; obviously Lesson 6 is lacking and we do not believe that there were any further issues after Lesson 9, as it concludes "You have Now Completed the Mathematical Course in Kabalistic Wisdom"; although there may have been a 10th Lesson - Worldcat lists a Second Year Series held by the National Library of Canada that extended to 10 issues. Wear and soiling to wrappers; a good to very good set. Rare. Item #311393
¶ Kabalarian Philosophy was founded in Vancouver BC in the 1930s by Alfred J. Parker. It is a mixture of Cult Numerology and Kabala, with a heady mixture of Religion, and Esoteric Philosophy thrown in. After Mr. Parker's death in 1964 the Kabalarians were run by Ivon Shearing, who was sentenced to five years in prison in 1997 for sexually abusing several under-age female members of the group. It still exists today but one can find no mention of Mr. Shearing on their website.
