Reprint, issued in Hodder & Stoughton's Sevenpenny Library series. Small format octavo, original brown cloth stamped in blind on front cover & spine, titled in gilt on spine. Collects "The Upepr Berth" and "By The Waters of Paradise". Decorative tit le page. Not an unimportant reprint edition, as this edition bears an evocative black & white frontispiece illustration titled "The Creature sprang violently against me". H.P. Lovecraft refered to 'The Upper Berth' as "Crawford's weird masterpiece. . . one of the most tremendous horror stories in all literature". Cheap paper browned, cloth a bit soiled, a very good copy.
