First edition in English. Octavo, original gray cloth titled and ruled in black on front cover, titled in gilt on spine. Brown coated endpapers. 214 pp + 1 leaf of ads at rear. Issued as number three of Appleton's "Collection of Foreign Authors." Ink name on front free endpaper, faded with time; a small typed label of the same owner affixed to upper corner of front paste-down; spine tips show some mild wear to the cloth and there is some light general mottling to the covers; a very good, sound copy, quite attractive. ¶ A supernatural tale of the romantic involvement between a man and a ghost.

Oversized and sets are shipped at cost by whatever method you choose at the time of your order. Excessive shipping amounts will be quoted prior to processing an order.
For International orders, we will always use the least expensive form of Air Mail shipping, and we will notify the customer of any shipping costs which are excessive.

For time-sensitive orders or particularly valuable items, we can always ship Express at cost.

We will graciously accept returns of merchandise for any reason, provided that we are informed of the return within 10 days of receipt. All our books are collated and guaranteed to be complete as issued unless otherwise stated.
