Octavo, original green cloth titled and blocked in black. Contemporary bookplate on front paste-down, faint faded spot at spine headotherwise a fresh clean near fine copy in the original pictorial dust wrapper which has a couple of tiny chips to top edge of front panel and a thumbnail-sized chip from the spine head. Overall, an attractive example. ¶ Short story collection, some of the tales have fantasy elements. Uncommon in nice condition.

Of two noted binding states, this is the first issue binding, with pointed centers to the four gold ornaments on the oval design on the front cover. The second issue has rounded centers to the four gold ornaments and an added series of dots in the border. A fine bright copy. ¶ Classic fantasy novel of the 'little folk', the leprechauns of legend. A truly unique tale, a mixture of philosophy, Irish folklore and the modern world told with charm and humour.
